Cafe Press

I am slowly moving my work to Cafe Press. There you can see the images on products and are priced in CAD.

I will not be renewing my album with photostockplus, they have a great service but for a different type of clientele. So the links to the McFingon Gallery on Photostockplus will be changed to a store on Cafe Press.

They have a community and blogs to help get things right and a variety of templates that makes things more interesting. For now I have only one product and another in progress. The logo is up and the description is almost ready. Hope you will visit and let me know what you think.

We all have quotes that we like, I have a folder in my computer full of them and with this photo I share one of my favourites.

Aquilegia Vulgaris

Aquilegia is an ideal perennial to sow directly outdoors. I sprinkled the seeds at the foot of a Syringa x hyacinthiflora about the same time they go to seed when established. The plants are now 3 years old and they share the bed with two other varieties.

As posted before these are a long spurred variety from McKenzie Seeds

Double Zonal Pelargonium close-up

A different angle of same pelargonium. This one gives you a close-up view of the petals. It looks great in a digital frame. You can download a larger version for your own personal project from the Photo index

Now if you are curious about the origin of double zonal pelargoniums, I recommend a visit to Google Book Search. Type in double zonal or  The Garden by William Robinson as keywords. You can read the pages directly on the site or download as a pdf file.  Most pelargoniums have interesting histories.
